The singer sensation Susan Boyle from Britains Got Talent has charmed everyone with her persona and lovely singing voice. Her talent is extraordinary and she has been requested to do multiple duettos with many different world wide celebrity singers. Before there was Elaine Paige, who actually is an idol of Susan Boyle. She asked to do a duetto with Susan almost immediately after Susans performance on the Britains Got Talent show on the saturday of april 11th. The duetto requests do not stop there since a superstar from the 80's has contacted Susan Boyle for some more action and not just behind the mic but also in front of the camera!
This star is no one else but the legendary Cindy Lauper who was born on 22nd of June in 1953. She is a very popular pop singer and an actress. Cindy started her career as a singer in a cover band but already at the beginnin of 1980 she released a rockabilly album with her band Blue Angel. In 1983 David Wolff produced Cindys album She's So Unusual which became a break through. Madonna started as a singer at the same time as Cindy who was so popular that they estimated that Cindys career would outlong the career of Madonna. but that did not really happen.
Lauper won a Grammy for the best new artist. In 1985 Se sung with Michael Jackson on the song We Are The World which was made to help the hungry in Africa. All the sins that they made from that song financially was sent to Africa. one way or the other. 1988 She performed on the show Vibes which got very bad critisism from the reviewers. What does Susan Think about this? "Fantastic" - is actually what she said when Susan heard about this offer. Well like you would expect she is very exited about acting in a Hollywood movie. The movie will be called Section - B and Susan Boyle has agreed to do the role and definitely will do a god job at it. Many of the stars from reality shows have been appearing in Hollywood movies in the recent past. Stars from hit shows like American Idol and America's Talent show. This is a good way for the producers to get more viewers to the production since the fanbase for the talents has already been built. And they will all definitely see the movie. Susan Boyle has had 100 000 000 views for her youtube video. That is possibly a 50 000 000 viewers for the movie. This is a huge number, and even if they don't all go to see the movie in the theatres it will be a box office hit! So everyone who likes Susan Boyle go see the movie when it comes out. Although it has not even been started so it will possibly take time before it hits the theatres.
Besides from just hitting the movies - yeah JUST - she will be doing another duetto. Cindy Lauper is behind this one as well. Although Susan will not be singing with Cindy but with the Americas got talent finalists Queen And Emily David. That is just amazing to be able to hear these great natural talents on the same stage or album. They all are reality show stars and even if Susan Boyle will not win the Britains Got Talent she definitely has made a large fanbase already and will make a lot of money even without winning. That is a sign of a true star. That is what I think.
If a singer can make this large media attention with just one appearance out of the blue it is sensational. And that is what this triumph has been. In the Talent show she has indeed seen many potential competitors like Shaheen Jafargholi who is a 12 year old Welsh boy. This is actually a part of the Britains Got Talent show in my opinion. Shafeen is not necessarily any better singer than Susan Boyle, neither is he more intresting as a persona. But because he is so young, and it is unordinary for a boy that young to sing as good as he does, he might have a chance to win the whole reality show. This in my opinion is kind of stupid since Shafeen Jafargholi is almost at the age of puberty, there is no guarantee that he will be able to sing in a few years. His vocal chords will start to grow and he will lose his voice. There is no guarantee for a future in singing, and that is why in my opinion he should not win the grand price but it should be Susan Boyle who wins it. She has already guaranteed work on the music and the movie business. That is somethin that most aspiring singers don't have at this point.
Also besides just singin, it should be kept in mind that Britains Got Talent is more than just about singing. This is no American Idol, and Susan can be beaten by any other type of artist than just singers. There could be a trapeze artis who could beat Susan. That makes this show a little questionable for a singer to take part in. Although Idols is about so much more than just singing, and that is something that Susan does not really have. She is not an idol persona. Although she is very adorable she is just not in her mid twenties and what main stream would concider good looking. But what she has got and the "Idols" don't is oroginality and persona. Most of these "talents" are just duplicates and they are grown by the record companies.
Susan has altered her looks in the preceding week. She has definitely gone to the coiffeur to get her hair done and to the beauty parlor to have a facial treatment and some new makeup. She is propably seeing a stylist since her wardrobe has seen an illumination. She has stopped wearing those granny like outfits and started to dress up very fashionably. She dyed her hair also and no longer has those gray curls but a trendy brown hair color. This in my opinion is not a good thing since her outlooks are a big part of her persona and also a big part of what makes her so special.
The Britains Got Talent judges especially Amanda Holden. She has implied in a very straightforward manner that she does not like that Susan Boyle is changin her appearance to a more "fashionable and main stream"- look. She is who she is because of the way she looks and how she sings. Trying to alter her persona and trying to be something she is not might cost her the show. People will be voting for the virgin unemplyed church choir singer from Scotland who has a cat named Pebbles. They don't necessery want to see some 40-something trying to look like she was twenty years old. My god. This really might cost her the show. She has been all about hope. It has been said that the reason behind Susan Boyles success is the financial depression. She gives hope to the people when there is no hope. Anyone can succeed if they put their mind into it. This is what the old Susan Boyle stands for. If
she changes that, she might not stand for nothing. We will see that in her next appearance in the semi-finals of the Britains Got Talent.She will be out making those duettos and all kind of public appearances while we are waiting to hear her sing again. She already was on a bunch of american talk shows and she will also appear in the legendary "Ophras". That is a show that tells about your popularity. When you are a guest in Oprahs show you are definitely somebody. That is what Susan Boyle is now, a nobody who transformed herself in to a somebody by just singin one song. This is what makes these Reality shows worth watching.
I sicerely hope that these duettos start pouring in already. I have been waiting for so long to hear more of Susan Boyles singing and I am starting to lose my patience.
